The Eastside Standard is the named philosophy that governs every treatment, every artist hire, every consultation, and every facility decision at Eastside Microblading & Beauty. It rests on four pillars: quality, safety, precision, and care. Founder Amanda Banks (International Grand Master Permanent Makeup Artist, former AAM Board Member) defined the Standard after almost a decade of permanent makeup work because the existing industry baseline was too low. The Standard governs both studios (Bellevue, WA and Scottsdale, AZ) and the Beauty Angels Academy USA training arm. Every Eastside artist is personally trained by Amanda to the Standard before working on clients.

I started Eastside because I saw a big problem in permanent makeup. Everything in the permanent makeup world was bold. It was obvious. We’ve seen the blue, gray, purple, the Sharpie brows that don’t age well. And I wanted to create something a lot different. And I started as a solo artist in Bellevue. And all I wanted was to give people eyebrows that were so natural that they didn’t believe that you had them done. That’s it.
And that passion turned into multiple studios across the country, and thousands of permanent makeup artists around the world that we’ve personally trained, and former board service with the American Academy of Micropigmentation. But the thing I’m the most proud of? It’s our relationships. And our clients who have been with us for years. They bring their sisters, their moms, their daughters. They fly in from across the country. It’s an honor, because they trust us with their face. We joke we have a suitcase closet: people roll in their suitcase, coming in straight from the airport for their treatments.
And that’s what the Eastside Standard means to me. This is not just a level of quality. This is a lifetime relationship that we built. And it’s a promise that when you walk in our door, you are our top priority, and we’re always going to take care of you.
Natural results that age beautifully over years, not months
Every treatment at Eastside Microblading & Beauty is designed for how the result will look at month 14, not just on healing day. Pigment selection blends with skin undertones. Placement depth is chosen for how it will fade over years. Technique is gentle enough that healing happens cleanly. The quality standard is that nobody knows you had it done.
Quality also means refusing work that will not hold up: no band-aiding a bad result, no covering prior PMU without an honest conversation about removal or correction first, no pigment placed too deep just to extend visible longevity at the cost of how the work ages.
Medical-grade clean, every appointment
Both studios operate at medical-grade safety standards. Single-use needles, sterilized environment, full blood-borne pathogen and cross-contamination protocols on every appointment. Cryo body sculpting follows FDA-Cleared device protocols with master-technician monitoring throughout every session.
Safety also means screening every client during the suitability review before treatment: pregnancy, autoimmune conditions, recent medications, active skin conditions, prior PMU work, and cryo contraindications are all screened in advance. The studio will not perform a treatment it cannot safely deliver.
Symmetry software, bone structure, your ratios
Every permanent makeup appointment starts with a precision-anchored consultation. The studio uses symmetry software, your bone structure, and the ratios of your face to draw your ideal shape with a pencil before any pigment is placed. You and the artist fine-tune the shape as a team. No pigment goes in until you approve.
Precision extends to technique: machine nano brows with ultra-fine stroke placement, soft shading and powder brows with even distribution, and hand-tool microblading at the correct depth. The technique varies by service. The precision standard does not.
A lifetime relationship, not a transaction

The call runs 15 to 30 minutes, not 90 seconds. The first appointment runs three hours, not 90 minutes. The studio maintains a touch-up and maintenance relationship with most clients for years after the initial work. Clients come from referrals, repeat visits, and travel-in patterns precisely because of the care standard.
Care also shows up in the studio environment: the lighting, the scent, the consultation flow, and the time blocked for each appointment are all decided so the client feels calm and respected.

Healing support + touch-up
Walkthrough and aftercare kit. A 6-to-8-week touch-up is not included in the treatment price. The relationship begins at the first appointment.

Permanent makeup is permanent on your face. Cryo body sculpting eliminates fat cells in a way that cannot be undone. Both deserve a standard that matches their permanence. The industry baseline does not consistently provide that standard. Eastside Microblading & Beauty’s response is to operate at a different one, and refuse to lower it.

Yes. Every artist at the Bellevue and Scottsdale studios is personally trained by Amanda Banks to the Standard before working on clients. There is no junior tier, and the same training runs through Beauty Angels Academy USA, the studio’s training arm.
Is The Eastside Standard a certification?
No. It is the studio’s own working philosophy, a bar rather than a badge. It has operational consequences (what the studio refuses to do, how long appointments run, which pigments are used), and it is taught to other artists through the Beauty Angels Academy USA curriculum.
