If you’re thinking about becoming a permanent makeup artist, I need you to hear this: 95 out of 100 training programs will fail you. They’re one to three days long, and then they send you on your way. They say you are ready to tattoo faces. But you’re not. And so we built something very different.
Our program is a six-month mentorship. And this is where you work one-on-one with a Grand Master trainer through a full 20-level curriculum. So you don’t move to the next level until you’ve passed with high-quality work. Not high-speed work: high-quality work. And I’ve personally trained thousands of artists worldwide and spoken on stages around the world specifically about elevating the standard of education in our industry. And I believe that doing things correctly does have a ripple effect.
And our courses are semi-private, so every student gets direct access, personal attention, critique, and feedback. These courses do book up to a year in advance, just because the demand for quality of education is that high, and the amount of one-on-one attention. Do I need experience to start?
No. The curriculum starts at level one with foundations, and plenty of successful graduates came from completely unrelated careers. What you need is the patience to train properly, because we do not certify work that is not ready.
What makes this different from cheaper courses?
Supervision and honesty. You work on live models with a master trainer correcting your hand in real time, and you advance when your work passes. A certificate from a weekend latex course tells clients nothing. Checked work does.
Can I train while keeping my job?
Yes. The online curriculum is built for it, and live course cohorts run in concentrated blocks so working students can plan around them.
Is this the same business as the studio?
Same founder, same standard, separate worlds. Beauty Angels Academy trains artists; Eastside Microblading & Beauty serves clients. Your training never happens on a paying client, and studio clients are never practice.
