1. Who we are
Eastside Microblading & Beauty (operated by Eastside Microblading Studio LLC, which also operates Beauty Angels Academy USA for artist training) is the data controller for personal information collected through eastsidemicroblading.com and at our Bellevue, WA and Scottsdale, AZ studios. You can reach us at info@eastsidemicroblading.com or by phone at (425) 224-5765.
2. What we collect
We collect information you give us directly and information generated when you use our website.
- Contact and inquiry details. Name, email address, phone number, your preferred studio location (Bellevue or Scottsdale), and the service you are asking about, collected when you submit a form, call us, or message us.
- Booking and payment information. Appointment details and deposit records. Card payments are processed by our payment and scheduling providers; we do not store full card numbers on our systems.
- Health screening information. Before a visit, clients complete a phone qualification call that screens for medical contraindications. The answers you give us (for example pregnancy, medications, skin or circulatory conditions) are health information. We collect it only to determine whether we can safely provide a treatment, and we treat it as consumer health data under the Washington My Health My Data Act and comparable laws.
- Photographs. Treatment photos are taken as part of clinical record keeping. Marketing use of any client photo requires separate written permission.
- Communications. Emails, texts, call recordings where permitted by law, and review or testimonial content you choose to submit.
- Website usage data. Pages visited, referring source, device and browser type, and approximate location, collected through cookies and similar technologies described in section 6.
3. How we use it
We use personal information to:
- Respond to your inquiry and schedule your phone qualification call
- Screen for medical contraindications and design a safe treatment plan
- Take deposits, confirm appointments, and send appointment reminders
- Provide treatments and aftercare follow-up
- Send marketing communications where you have agreed to receive them (you can opt out at any time)
- Measure how our website and advertising perform so we can improve both
- Comply with legal, tax, licensing, and record-keeping obligations
For visitors from regions where the GDPR applies, our legal bases are consent (marketing, cookies, health screening information), performance of a contract (booking and providing services), and legitimate interests (site analytics, fraud prevention, and defending legal claims).
4. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, and only for the purposes described above:
- Customer relationship management. GoHighLevel, which stores leads and sends booking confirmations and follow-ups.
- Scheduling and payments. Our booking and payment platform (currently Square), which processes deposits and appointment records.
- Analytics and advertising. Google Analytics 4, Google Ads conversion tracking, Meta Pixel, and WhatConverts call tracking, which measure website usage and ad performance.
- Reviews. Trustindex, which displays our Google reviews on this website.
- Professional and legal. Accountants, insurers, attorneys, and authorities where the law requires disclosure.
Each provider receives only what it needs to perform its service and is bound by its own privacy and security obligations.
5. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights. We honor them regardless of which statute applies to you.
- Washington residents. Under the My Health My Data Act you may access, withdraw consent for, and request deletion of consumer health data, including the screening information described in section 2.
- California residents. Under the CCPA/CPRA you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may opt out of sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information.
- Arizona residents. You may request access to and deletion of your personal information under applicable Arizona law.
- EU and UK visitors. Under the GDPR you may access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests.
To exercise any right, email info@eastsidemicroblading.com with the subject line “Privacy request.” We will verify your identity and respond within the time the applicable law allows. We will never penalize you or refuse service because you exercised a privacy right.
6. Cookies
Our website uses three categories of cookies and similar technologies:
- Essential. Required for the site to work, including security and form submission. These cannot be switched off.
- Analytics. Google Analytics 4 cookies that tell us how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
- Advertising. Google Ads and Meta Pixel cookies that measure whether our advertising works and help us reach people interested in our services.
Where consent is required, a cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies before they are set. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on.
7. Retention
We keep inquiry records for as long as needed to respond and follow up. Client treatment records, including screening answers and clinical photos, are kept for as long as state licensing and health record rules require. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.
8. Security
We protect personal information with encryption in transit, access controls that limit records to the staff who need them, and vendor agreements that require our providers to do the same. No system is perfectly secure, so if a breach affecting your information ever occurs we will notify you as the law requires.
9. Children’s privacy
Our services and website are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we update the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be flagged on this page, and where the law requires it we will ask for fresh consent.
